Touch Tone Remote

Touch Tone remotes generate DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) signals, which can be used to control prompter features.These remotes connect through the headphone/microphone jack.

Access Touch Tone Remote Settings

  1. Press the Settings button.
  2. Select the Remotes menu.
  3. Select the Touch Tone Remote option.

Activating/Deactivating the Touch Tone Remote

  1. Set the Enable switch to the ON position to enable the Touch Tone Remote.
  2. Set the Enable switch to the OFF position to disable the Touch Tone Remote.

Create New Touch Tone Control

  1. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  2. Press the + button to add a touch tone control.
  3. Press the touch tone button to assign a control.
  4. Select a prompter control to assign to the touch tone.

Changing an Existing Touch Tone Control

  1. Press the touch tone button for an existing control to assign a different touch tone combination.
  2. Press anywhere in the row to select a prompter control for an existing control.

Assign/Remove Values for Touch Tone Controls

Some controls require or can optionally use values. These controls are only available if Advanced Features are enabled.

  1. Press the value button for the control to enter a value.
  2. Enter or select a value to use for the control.
  3. To clear a value or restore the default value, press the clear button (circle with X) for the value.

Deleting Touch Tone Controls

  1. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  2. Press the Remove icon to display the Delete button.
  3. Press the Delete button to remove the control.

Moving Touch Tone Controls

  1. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  2. Use the tab on the right side of a control to drag it to a new position in the list.
  3. Press the Edit button again when finished.

Using Single/Double Presses

Prompter controls can be assigned to single presses and double presses for Touch Tone controls, allowing twice the number of controls to be used. In order to assign controls to double presses the Enable Double Press option must be enabled in the Touch Tone Remote options and the Advanced Features option must be enabled.

  1. Select the • presses option to display the single press controls.
  2. Follow the steps outlined above to configure the single press controls.
  3. Select the •• presses option to display the double press controls.
  4. Configure the double press controls in the same manner the single press controls are configured.

Add Labels to Controls

An optional label can be added to touch tone controls. The label can be any text that describes the control This would typically be the name of the button on the remote.

  1. Tap and hold on a touch tone control to show the context menu.
  2. Select the Add Label option.
  3. A text box will appear over the control. Enter a label.
  4. Press Return/Done when finished.
