Advanced Settings

The Advanced features menu provides access to settings for configuring controls, the appearance of the app, file management, and behavior.

Accessing Advanced Settings

  1. Press the Settings button.
  2. Select the Prompter Menu.
  3. Select the Advanced option.

Advanced Features

If enabled, additional features will be enabled throughout the app.

Controller Settings

Provides access to additional options specific to the control of the prompter such as control influence and controller bar configuration. For more information, see Controller Settings.

Disable Deceleration

If enabled, deceleration of the text will be disabled. When manually scrolling the text and releasing it, it will stop immediately.

Tap Statusbar to Restart

If enabled, tapping the statusbar will scroll to the top of the text. If the settings are being interacted with, the settings will scroll to the top.

Hide Statusbar

If enabled, the statusbar will be hidden, using the entire screen for the app.

Show Fullscreen Button

If enabled, the fullscreen button will be displayed in the top right corner of the text area. The fullscreen button will sometimes be displayed to ensure it is possible to exit fullscreen.

Settings Side

Determines which side of the screen the settings are displayed on.

Messages

Messages are periodically displayed to indicate certain actions have taken place. These messages can be displayed in the following ways:

Appearance

Determines if dark mode is used or not.

Default Background Color

Determines the background color for new files. The default color is black. Dark colors are ideal when using the app as a teleprompter, light colors when used as a music reader.

iCloud

Access to iCloud settings. Files and settings can optionally be stored in iCloud. See iCloud Settings.

Settings File

Access to settings files options such as resetting and exporting settings. See Settings File.

Document Saving

Access options specific to how documents are saved. See Document Saving.

Enable FTP Sharing

If enabled, an FTP file sharing option will be available when importing a file. A menu will be displayed offering Files, FTP and Google Drive as options. If disabled, the Files option is automatically selected.

Show Introduction

Select this option to show the introduction for the app, which includes some configuration questions. This is what is displayed when the app is launched for the first time.

Reset Help Popups

Select this option to reset the help popups that were displayed the first time the app is launched.

Reset Warnings

Select this option to reset one time app warnings.
