Settings File

All or some of the app settings can be saved in a document and shared. It is also possible to store a settings file within a document. The settings can then be reloaded from the document if needed. When importing or exporting settings, it is possible to select individual settings, making it possible to share some features and not others in a file. For example, it is possible to share just the Controller settings, or just the MIDI Remote settings.

Access Settings File Options

  1. Show the settings.
  2. Select the Prompter menu.
  3. Select the Advanced option.
  4. Select the Controller Settings option.
  5. Select the Settings File option.

Save Settings in File

Saves a copy of the current settings into the currently loaded file.

Apply Settings from File

Loads the settings from the current file. This option is only enabled if there are settings saved in the current file.

Remove Settings from File

Removes the settings from the current file. This option is only enabled if there are settings saved in the current file.

Reset Settings

Resets the current settings file to default values. It is possible to reset individual settings.

Export Settings

Exports the current setting configuration as a file that can be shared with the sharing features. It is possible to export specific settings.

Note: When a file is imported from a version before version 8.0, the file will have settings included. Those settings are stored into the file.
In versions before version 8, the Global Settings option determined where settings were stored. This feature was removed and replaced with these options.
