Access iOS Remote Options

  1. Access the iOS Remote menu.
  2. Press the ••• button to display the options.

Automatically Connect Devices

Enable this option to allow devices to automatically connect. Joining devices will connect to the first host found, without requiring a selection from a list. Hosting devices will allow joining devices to connect without explicitly accepting the connection.

Notes: When automatic connection is enabled, Host and Join buttons will be available from the iOS Remote item in the Remotes List. Devices can also exit the app and automatically reconnect when they enter the foreground again.

Enable <iOS 7 Remotes

Enable this option to allow connection to devices that are running an iOS below iOS 7. Do not enable this option if it is not needed. Not all current functionality is available on devices running an iOS below iOS 7.

Flow Control

Determines how often sync updates are sent to iOS Remotes. This can be used to prevent overwhelming the communication channels, but should only be changed if needed.

Overwrite Files

Enable this option to automatically overwrite files received from iOS Remotes. If not enabled, files with the same name will be saved with a different name.

Sending Enabled

Enable this option to allow this device to send updates to connected iOS Remotes. Disable this option to prevent interaction on the device from being sent to connected iOS Remotes.
