Video Viewer
The Video Viewer can be used to view video and audio files. Markers can be added to video and audio files. The video viewer can be displayed as a floating window in the text area, the Toolbars or Controller.
Access Video Viewer
- Show the settings.
- Select the Record menu.
- Select the Recordings option.
- Choose a video or audio recording from the list.
Playback Controls
- Tap the video frame to toggle playback.
- Drag left and right on the video frame to scrub the video.
- Hold a touch on the video frame to display the list of records. This only applies to the floating player and the video viewer when used in the toolsbars or controller.
- Playback Speed: Determines the speed the video will play back. Hold a touch on the button to display a menu of playback speeds.
- Restart: Restarts the video at the beginning.
- Rewind: Rewinds the video from the current position as long as the button is depressed.
- Play: Toggles playback of the video.
- Fast-Forward: Fast-forwards the video from the current position as long as the button is depressed.
- Previous Marker: Navigates to the first marker before the current playback position.
- Markers: Displays the list of markers. Note: This control is only available on the floating player.
- Next Marker: Navigates to the next marker after the current playback position.
- Add Marker: Adds a marker for the asset at the current playback position.
- Volume: Adjusts the volume of the player.
- Timeline/Waveform: Adjusts the playback location of current asset. Markers are displayed in the ruler
- Info: Displays the metadata for the asset.
- Marker List: Select a marker from the list to jump to the marker location.
Share Asset / View Fullscreen
- Press the Share button at the top of the menu to view the asset in fullscreen.
- To share the file, press the Share button.
- Share the file using the available sharing methods.
Floating Player
The Floating Player can optionally be displayed in the text area. The player can be moved, resized and optionally docked above or below the text content.
Showing the Floating Player:
- Press the Picture-in-Picture button in the Video Viewer.
- From the Recordings list, hold a press to show the context menu and choose the Show In Player option.
- From the Recordings list, drag an item using the icon and drop it onto the text content, or onto the player if already visible.
Hiding the Floating Player:
- Press the Picture-in-Picture button in the Video Viewer.
- Touch the player anywhere to display the title bar, then press the Close button.
Customize Player Controls
- Tap the floating player anywhere to display the titlebar.
- Tap the Settings button in the titlebar to display the player settings.
- Opacity: Determines the opacity of the floating player when it is not docked to the top or bottom of the screen.
- Controls: Determines which controls are avaiable on the floating player.
- Position: Determines where the player is displayed, either floating, or docked on the top, bottom, left or right of the text content. The setting can also be changed by dragging the floating player to or from the edges of the text area.
- Movable: Determines if the floating player can be moved and resized.
- Adjustment: Provides controls to incrementally move or resize the floating player.
- Shows on External Monitor: If enabled, the video will be displayed on an external screen.
