Rotary Scroll/Speed Controls

The Rotary Scroll and Rotary Speed prompter controls are available for the Controller, the Horizontal and Vertical Toolbars and Long Touch Menu. The Rotary Scroll control scrolls the text content. The Rotary Speed control adjusts the playback speed.

To use a rotary control, start a touch in the control then move the touch in a circular direction around the center of the control. Moving clockwise around the rotary control will increase the speed and scroll toward the end of the document. Moving counter-clockwie will decrease the speed, or move toward to beginning of the document.

Note: It is not necessary keep the touch within the rotary control. The touch can move anywhere in the screen once it is started.

Rotary Controls and Toolbars

Rotary controls used in the Horizontal and Vertical Toolbars do not use the control's center as a rotation point. The center point can be set to any location in the prompter area. The default location is in the center of the prompter area.

To use the rotary controls in the toolbars, the touch must start within the rotary control, but then rotate around the designated point in the prompter area. Once a touch begins, an icon will be displayed at the center point in the prompter area and a line will be drawn connected to the touch location.

The center point can be changed by holding a touch on the rotary control for five seconds. A message will be displayed to move the center point to a new location in the prompter area and release. The release location will be the new center point.

Note: While adjusting the center point for a rotary control, the center point can be released on another rotary control in the toolbar to use the same center point.
