Colorwise is compatible with several file formats to assist in moving colors collected on an iOS device to be shared with design programs, especially Adobe Photoshop.
Simple Text Format - The simple text format is a simple list of colors and their components that can easily be created or modified with a text editing program or directly from within Colorwise.
The format is as follows:
Color Name 1,red,green,blue
Color Name 2,red,green,blue
Each color entry is divided by a new line. Each line consists of a color’s name, a comma, the red component, comma, green component, comma, blue component. All color values range from 0 to 255.
Since the comma character is used to delimit the list, do not use a comma in the name of the color, otherwise the name and color will be read incorrectly.
Example:
White,255,255,255
Black,0,0,0
CSV File (Comma Separated Values)
The CSV file format is used by spreadsheet programs such as Numbers and Excel. The CSV file format is similar to the simple text format, but it allows commas in the names of the colors.
Spreadsheets can be created in applications such as Numbers and Excel and opened within Colorwise. Simply create the file and copy it into the documents folder using iTunes.
All color values range from 0 to 255.
The format for CSV files is as follows:
Color Name A Red Green Blue
Color Name B Red Green Blue
For Example:
Red 255 0 0
Green 0 255 0
Blue 0 0 255
Do not include a header row.ASE File (Adobe Swatch Exchange)
