Handicap Calculator

The Handicap Calculator provides a variable equation to help calculate handicaps for players.

Handicaps are based on a player's performance over several games. Handicaps are used in some tournaments and game play to allow players of different skill levels to be able to play together without any players having an advantage over others.

The equation used by the handicap calculator is:

((raw score รท number of games) - par ref) x multiplier

The par reference indicates what par for a course will be used in the handicap equation.

The multiplier will allow some modification of the equation to adjust it to suit.

The Games for Average option determines how many games are used to calculate the handicap for players.

The Use Existing Games option, when enabled will use previous games in the app to determine scores for players to calculate handicaps.

When not enabled, an addition Raw Score text box will appear to enter a raw score.

When the Use Existing Games option is enabled, a list of players and their calculated handicaps will be displayed.

The Apply button will assign the handicap for the player to the player's profile.

The detail button will display the handicap as it would be calculated for individual courses that the player played.

The Raw Score text box is visible if the Use Existing Games option is disabled.

Enter a the sum of however many raw scores as are indicated by the Games for Average setting.
