Using the WebDAV Server

The WebDAV server provides a way to access the document folder from another WebDAV compatible device on the network. The WebDAV server only provides a way to transfer files between devices.

Note: These instructions are for macOS Finder. Accessing a WebDAV server from other platforms may vary.

  1. Show the Settings.
  2. Select the Remotes menu item.
  3. Select the Web Server option.
  4. Select the WebDAV option for the type.
  5. Set the Enable switch to ON.

From macOS Finder, on a computer connected to the same network as the iOS device:

  1. Select the menu item Go>Connect to Server...
  2. Enter the address of the device to connect in the form of "http://Your-Device-Name.local:8080". Use the address displayed in the Web Server settings on the iOS device.
  3. The connection does not use SSL, press the Connect button to connect anyway.
  4. The connection is not password protected, choose to connect as a Guest.
  5. Press the Connect button.
  6. A Finder window will be displayed containing the files in the prompter's document folder.
  7. Files can be copied to and from the document folder in the same way as any Finder window.
  8. When a file is copied to this folder, it is automatically imported and presented in the prompter.
