Pencil Remote
The Apple Pencil can be used as a simple one or two control remote. The remote is activated using the two-tap gesture on the pencil, commonly used to change pencil functions. Optionally, using the double press option, two two-tap gestures, or four taps can be used to control an additional prompter feature.
Access Pencil Remote Settings
- Press the Settings button.
- Select the Remotes menu.
- Select the Apple Pencil option.
Tap Control (Two Taps)
- Tap the prompter control setting to assign a control to the pencil's two-tap gesture.
- Select a prompter control from the list.
Enabling Double Press (Four Taps)
- Press the ••• button to display the remote options.
- Enable the Enable Double Press option.
- Adjust the Double Press Speed setting if needed. This determines how close the two groups of taps must be to be considered a double press.
- Press the Back button to return to the Pencil Remote settings.
- Select the double presses (four dots) option for the presses segment to display to double press control.
- Tap the prompter control setting to assign a control to two of the pencil's two-tap geatures.
- Select a prompter control from the list.
