Pencil Remote

The Apple Pencil can be used as a simple one or two control remote. The remote is activated using the two-tap gesture on the pencil, commonly used to change pencil functions. Optionally, using the double press option, two two-tap gestures, or four taps can be used to control an additional prompter feature.

Access Pencil Remote Settings

  1. Press the Settings button.
  2. Select the Remotes menu.
  3. Select the Apple Pencil option.

Tap Control (Two Taps)

  1. Tap the prompter control setting to assign a control to the pencil's two-tap gesture.
  2. Select a prompter control from the list.

Enabling Double Press (Four Taps)

  1. Press the ••• button to display the remote options.
  2. Enable the Enable Double Press option.
  3. Adjust the Double Press Speed setting if needed. This determines how close the two groups of taps must be to be considered a double press.
  4. Press the Back button to return to the Pencil Remote settings.
  5. Select the double presses (four dots) option for the presses segment to display to double press control.
  6. Tap the prompter control setting to assign a control to two of the pencil's two-tap geatures.
  7. Select a prompter control from the list.
