File Groups

Files and folders can be organized into groups providing more organization than folders alone.

Access Files Settings

  1. Show the settings.
  2. Select the Files menu.

Add File to Group

  1. Select the file to add to a group from the document table.
  2. Pull down on the document table to display the search and sort options.
  3. Press the Group button to display the list of groups.
  4. Select a group from the list of groups, or create a new one if needed.

  1. Tap and hold a file in the document list to show the context menu.
  2. Select the Group option.
  3. Select a group from the list of groups, or create a new one if needed.

  1. Drag a file from one group to another in the document table.

or

  1. Press the ••• button to display more options (if not already visible).
  2. Press the Mark button.
  3. Mark the files to group by selecting them in the list. A blue mark will appear next to each marked file.
  4. Pull down on the document table to display the search and sort options.
  5. Press the Group button.
  6. Select the group for all the marked files, or create a new one if needed.

Collapse/Expand Groups

Tap a group's header in the document list to collapse or expand the files in the group.

Change Group Order

  1. Display the group dialog using any of the methods outlined in adding a file to a group.
  2. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  3. Use the tab on the right of a group to move it to a new location in the list. The the group order will be changed in the document list also.

Create a New Group

  1. Display the group dialog using any of the methods outlined in adding a file to a group.
  2. Press the + button to create a new group.
  3. Enter a name for the group.
  4. Press the Done button.

Rename Groups

  1. Display the group dialog using any of the methods outlined in adding a file to a group.
  2. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  3. Tap the name of the group to edit the name.
  4. Press the Return/Done key when finished.

Remove Group

  1. Display the group dialog using any of the methods outlined in adding a file to a group.
  2. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  3. Press the Remove button to show the Delete button.
  4. Press the Delete button.

When a group is removed the files are not deleted, only unassociated with the group. Files that do not belong to a group are designated as "Ungrouped" in the Group List. In the file list, no group name is displayed. Only the file count is displayed.
