Using FTP

FTP provides a way to upload and download files from a server.

Notes:

In order to use FTP, a host, username and password are required.

Ensure that the FTP sharing feature is enabled. See Advanced Settings and Enabling FTP.

Access File Settings

1. Show the settings.
2. Select the File menu.

Connect FTP

1. Press the Import button.
2. Choose the FTP option.
3. Enter the URL for the FTP host.
4. Enter a username and password for the account.
5. Optionally, enter a path on the server to load.
6. Choose whether to connect with SFTP (secure) or FTP (not secure).
7. Optionally, adjust addition settings for SFTP or FTP.
8. Press the Connect button to load the directory on the server.

Download File

1. Navigate to the file to download.
2. Select a file to download and open.
3. Press the Done button when finished.

Remove Files

1. Navigate to the file to remove.
2. Swipe right to left to reveal the Delete button.
3. Press the Delete button to delete the file.
4. Press the Yes button when prompted to remove the file.

Search Files

1. Scroll to the top of the file list.
2. Continue to drag down to reveal the search feature.
3. Enter a search term into the search bar to search the current directory.
4. Press the Clear button to display all files when finished.

Sort Files

1. Scroll to the top of the file list.
2. Continue to drag down to reveal the sort feature.
3. Select Name, Date, Size or Kind to sort the files accordingly.
4. Press the same sort method twice to reverse the sort order.

Create Directory

1. Scroll to the top of the file list.
2. Continue to drag down to reveal the New Folder button.
3. Press the New Folder button.
4. Enter a name for the new folder.
5. Press the Done button.

Navigating Directories

1. Select a folder from the list of files to display its contents.
2. Press the Back button to go to the previous FTP location.
3. Press the Forward button to go to the next location, after the Back button was used.
4. Press the Up button to go up one directory level.
5. Press a path component to load the directory.
