Using FTP
FTP provides a way to upload and download files from a server.
Notes:
In order to use FTP, a host, username and password are required.
Access File Settings
- Show the settings.
- Select the File menu.
Connect FTP
- Press the Import button.
- Choose the FTP option.
- Enter the URL for the FTP host.
- Enter a username and password for the account.
- Optionally, enter a path on the server to load.
- Choose whether to connect with SFTP (secure) or FTP (not secure).
- Optionally, adjust addition settings for SFTP or FTP.
- Press the Connect button to load the directory on the server.
Download File
- Navigate to the file to download.
- Select a file to download and open.
- Press the Done button when finished.
Remove Files
- Navigate to the file to remove.
- Swipe right to left to reveal the Delete button.
- Press the Delete button to delete the file.
- Press the Yes button when prompted to remove the file.
Search Files
- Scroll to the top of the file list.
- Continue to drag down to reveal the search feature.
- Enter a search term into the search bar to search the current directory.
- Press the Clear button to display all files when finished.
Sort Files
- Scroll to the top of the file list.
- Continue to drag down to reveal the sort feature.
- Select Name, Date, Size or Kind to sort the files accordingly.
- Press the same sort method twice to reverse the sort order.
Create Directory
- Scroll to the top of the file list.
- Continue to drag down to reveal the New Folder button.
- Press the New Folder button.
- Enter a name for the new folder.
- Press the Done button.
Navigating Directories
- Select a folder from the list of files to display its contents.
- Press the Back button to go to the previous FTP location.
- Press the Forward button to go to the next location, after the Back button was used.
- Press the Up button to go up one directory level.
- Press a path component to load the directory.
