Web Page Server

Start Web Page Server

  1. Open the Settings.
  2. Select the Remotes menu.
  3. Select the Web Server option.
  4. Select Web Server as the type.
  5. Set the Enable switch to ON.
  6. Enter a Refresh Rate. This will be how often the web page reloads itself to update changes happening on the prompter.
  7. Enter the address for the server into a browser such as Safari. The address appears when active, under the Enable switch, in the form of "http://Your-Device-Name.local:8080/".

Manage Files

  1. Press the Files tab to display the files in the documents folder for the app. Files that are available within the app will be displayed in addition to files of other formats.
  2. Press the green Load button to load a file into the prompter.
  3. Press the blue Download button to download the file.
  4. Press the red Delete button to delete the file from the device.
  5. Click the file's link to display the file in the browser. Only file formats that are supported by the browser can be displayed, other files will be downloaded.
  6. Use the Sort combo to choose how the files are sorted, by date, size, kind or tags.
  7. Expand or collapse a group of files by clicking the chevron in the section title.
  8. Add a new folder by clicking the New Folder button at the top of the page.
  9. Press the Choose Files button to select one or more file to upload. Press the Upload button to upload the files.

Remote Control

  1. Press the Remote tab to display the remote control page.
  2. Use the combo box at the top of the remote to select which remote preset to use.
  3. Use the controls on the remote to control the prompter.
Note: Any remote layouts that are created in the Controls feature of the prompter will also be available in the web server remote feature unless they are disabled for the web server in the Controller options. See Controller Uses .
Controls may vary in the web version compared to the Controller feature on the iOS device.

Audio, Video, Image Files

  1. Press the Video, Image, or Audio tab to display the media files captured with the recording feature.
  2. Click a video, image or audio file to preview the file in the browser.
  3. Press the Download button to download a video or audio file.
  4. Press the Delete button to remove the image, video or audio file.

Web Page Server Options

Remote Width (px)

Determines the width of the remote graphics for the web server's remote feature.

Refresh All Remotes

Recreates all remote graphics and assets for the web server. When Controller layouts are changed, the web server version is automatically updated, but in some scenarios it may be necessary to recreate the remote assets.

Display

Determines what information is displayed for the remote controls in the web server. The remotes can display icon, title or both icon and title for each control.

Refresh Script

Recreates all script images necessary for the script control, if it is used in a web server remote layout. The script is rendered as one or more images for use in the web server. When the script is changed, the script images are recreated automatically. However, in some scenarios it may be necessary to recreate the script images manually.

Show Camera Feed

Enable this option to display the camera feed at the bottom of the remote page on the web server. If a controller layout already includes the camera feed as a control, this option is not needed.

Camera Shutter Delay

This setting determines how often the camera image is updated for the web server. When the camera feed is displayed in the web server, still images are captured at regular intervals. Any time the image is updated using the camera, an audible shutter sound will be heard. This is the intended system functionality of the camera and can not be turned off.

Edit Web Server Pages

Use this option to enable and disable the web server pages. It is possible to have one or more of the following features available on the web server:

Password Protection

Enable a username and password to be required to access the web server. The default username is "admin" and default password is "password".
