Text Presets

Text presets allow for text styles to be saved and easily applied to other text.

The Text Preset preset prompter control allows controllers and remotes to be configued with buttons to change the format of the text to a specific text preset.

Access Text Presets

  1. Show the settings.
  2. Select the Style menu.
  3. Press the Presets button.

Create Text Preset

  1. Select the text from which to create a text preset.
  2. Press the + button to create a text preset from the selected text.

Rename Text Preset

  1. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  2. Tap the name for the text preset to change the name.
  3. Enter a new name for the text preset.
  4. Press the Done button when finished.

or

  1. Tap and hold a preset in the list to display the context menu.
  2. Select the Rename option.

Remove a Text Preset

  1. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  2. Press the Remove button for the preset to remove.
  3. Press the Delete button that appears.

or

  1. Tap and hold a preset in the list to display the context menu.
  2. Select the Delete option.

or

  1. Swipe from right to left to display the Delete button.
  2. Press the Delete button to remove the preset.

Use a Text Preset

  1. Select a text preset from the list, it will be applied to the selected text. If no text is selected, it will be applied to the enter text content.
  2. Or, use the Text Preset prompter control from any controller or remote.

Default Text Preset

  1. The Default Preset is used for new files or text files that do not have any markup.
  2. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  3. Use the tab on the right of a text preset to move a preset into the Default Preset section. The existing default preset will be replaced.

  1. Tap and hold a preset in the list to display the context menu.
  2. Select the Use as Default Preset option.

Rearrange Text Presets

  1. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  2. Use the tab on the right side of a preset to move it to a new location in the text presets.

Edit Presets

It is possible to edit the individual properties of a text preset. This makes it possible to only use specific formatting information for a preset. For example a preset can be used to only change the color when applied, leaving font, size and other formatting as is.

  1. Press the Detail (i) button for a preset in the list.
  2. Press the Edit button to enter edit mode.
  3. Press the Remove and then the Delete button to remove a format.
  4. Press the + button to add text format features that are not currently included.
